Sorry for the English but my wife is away and my German is awful
Can anyone recommend a good place for a bike fit in Leipzig?
I have tried many positions but after 700kms on my new bike i still get a sore shoulder/arm that appears only after 20-30km of riding.
I've tried making small adjustments each ride, to saddle fore/aft position, or saddle height, saddle angle, changed stem length, each time small change and then checking but i still get this pain in my right shoulder/arm outside muscle after 20-30kms.
No other pains at all just this shoulder muscle.
Any ideas? Any bike fitters in town?

Re: Bike fit
Have booked into BDO Leipzig, will see what happens.
Re: Bike fit
This is just a guess, but probably your weight distribution on the bike is not good because you sit too much forward.rogermbyrne hat geschrieben:Sorry for the English but my wife is away and my German is awful

Try this (preferable on a fixed trainer, if you REALLY can ride safe without hands, you can do this on an empty road):
* ride for a few minutes under a reasonable load in the hoods.
* then remove your hands from the bar and swing them to the side
* watch the behaviour of your upper body, if it drops significantly, you sit too much forward. Then you need to move the saddle back a little bit.
* Repeat this until you are more or less stable in the upper body when putting the hands to your side.
* Probably you need a short stem too.
I got this from Steve Hogg (https://www.stevehoggbikefitting.com/), but can't remember the correct location. There is a video from steve about this on youtube i think.
When you do the fitting, make sure it is performed under load (e.g. riding fast on a trainer). Otherwise it's just statical analysis and this may or may not work.
Hope this helps

Re: Bike fit
Thanks, booked in for a fit tomorrow morning but will test that theory after the fit.
