What places do you recommend within a few hours of Leipzig by car?

Something not too expensive.

Prefer something with some nice routes with for me to try some climbing on the road bike, but also with some easy MTB trails to keep the Mrs happy.

My wife was looking at Masserberg.

Any places you recommend?

Maybe Erzgebirge? Thuringia is Great.

Natürlich. Die Leipziger Teilung 1485 hat doch nie stattgefunden.

If the Sun keeps shining, you can also look around the Hohenwarte-Stausee = Thuringian Sea. Water incl. Watersports+Hills+Forrest and Trails.

Maybe take a look at Český ráj (Bohemian Paradise), the area around Turnov.
It´s about 300km/3hrs from Leipzig and the character of the landscape is comparable to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.

Tolle Landschaften, vernünftige Preise und richtig gute Straßen.

Allerdings sprechens doa koa Englisch, sondern feinstes oberfrrränkisch...
